Esto iba muy en serio. Y como le decía el tío Ben a Peter Parker: “Un gran poder conlleva grandes responsabilidades”… La cultura hindú es bastante conservadora y en muchos casos muy ortodoxa. Para la mayoría, un matrimonio que no sea arreglado ( no se hagan los espantados, todos conocemos a mas de uno que “arregló” su matrimonio), es prácticamente inconcebible. Primer obstáculo a sortear: Qué reacción tendría su familia frente a nuestra relación? Se las hago corta: recuerdan los novelones de Thalía en donde siempre había una que reaccionaba al grito de: “qué te he hecho yo para merecer esto????!!!!! Bueno, así fue nuestra primera devolución desde India. Se habló de deshonra, hubo llanto, drama, mucho drama. Sin embargo, la persona a quien Abhiram más temía, fue también la primera en abrirse y escuchar sobre mí: Su papá. Y saben qué? A pesar de saber que quizá su familia lo dejara de lado, este flaco jamás me soltó la mano.

Así transcurrió nuestro primer año, éramos inmensamente felices. Pero las raíces tiran, saben? Y había que hacer un gran trabajo de sanación familiar…”lo que es de un lado, es del otro” me explicaron recientemente. Cuando dos personas se unen, llevan la tarea de rescatar generaciones lastimadas por las mismas heridas evitando que éstas se sigan repitiendo.

Ya les había dicho que mi misión era ayudar a sanar? 😊

So this was serious stuff. And as uncle Ben told Peter Parker “ agreat power comes with great responsibilities”. Hindu culture is pretty orthodox. For many of them, the idea of a non fixed marriage is completely out of table (don´t act so dramatically, we all know families that still fix their kids marriages). So, our first challenge begun: How would his family react to our relationship?

Well short story: do you have in mind this kind of soap opera in which some characters cry out loud: “What have I done to deserve this?!!!!!” well, that was our first feedback… I Heard DRAMA. But, among all these, there was one person that listened carefully to what Abhi had to say: his dad. And you know what? Even though he could lose his family, he never let go off my hand.

That´s how our first year together went by. We were extremely happy, but family roots are undeniable, you know? And we had a huge healing job ahead. I ´ve recently got to know, that the same wounds run in both families. When two souls get together, their task is to treat those hereditary wounds for them to stop repeating over and over generations to come…have I told you already that I came back to this life to heal? 😊
