KABHI KUSHI, KABHI GHAM (A veces se ríe, a veces se llora) CAP. 4 -KABHI KUSHI, KABHI GHAM ( sometimes you laugh, sometimes you cry) CHAP 4

Y me perdí.
Dije basta. Tenía que encontrar la verdad (...)

KABHI KUSHI, KABHI GHAM ( sometimes you laugh, sometimes you cry) CHAP 4
Do you remember about myself telling you that I was named Daniela after a song? Well, it turns out that our name is our identity. It means more than you think. Daniela is the female version of the Hebrew name, Daniel. All names ended up in “El” are connected to God. Basically, my name means: “Only God will judge me”.
Years went by and I started realising that every time I was pushing myself more than expected, the bruises showed up. Every time I did something I didn’t like just for the sake of giving someone the pleasure of being right, a galaxy of petechias showed up in my whole body ( petechias are tiny purple, red, or brown spots on the skin caused by bleeding under the skin). So basically every time my blood boiled, it seemed to manifest through my skin.
Teenage time came in and with it, an impasse. I was so happy at high school (an amazing artistic school) that I almost forgot about myself being a “bomb about to explode”.  Those times, my love for the eastern part of the world started showing up all over my drawings. If I had to design something, Arabic patterns, colours, peacock feathers, wonderful fabrics and my obsession with Kajal eyes started showing up.  I don’t remember when, but I think that when I turned 14, Hindu culture started growing on me over others. There was something about that third eye that made me wonder what do these people have to say… I remember taking my mum’s clothes, jewelry and of course her Kajal, play some Bollywood songs and pretended to be one of them.
Time went by, I turned 20 and I got lost. At least I thought I did. I made and remade my life according to standards, according to what I was expected to be. I wanted to be the perfect student, the perfect daughter, an ideal woman…a robot basically. I tried to satisfy everyone…except myself. Without realising, hospitalizations came back: a thousand and one medications with no response, diagnoses, bruises. Name it, I had it. The platelets were less than ever (80% less than the required account) and my body was shouting for its life.
This continued until I turned 26. That year, life took three wonderful beings from my life and that was a call from heaven, literally. One of these beings was my precious aunt Ali, who was my guidance, my example of a fighter.
I decided to turn down all medications under my responsibility. Everyone judged me because of this…but you know what? There is a huge, an enormous reason for which my parents named me Daniela. Only something bigger than us could have a judgement over me. And more than ever, I believed the Universe was not mistaken. I do not believe in casualties.
I had enough. I needed to find the truth.

LA VIDA COLOR PURPURA Cap 3 -LIFE IN PURPLE chap 3

LIFE IN PURPLE
When I was three and a half years old, my body started manifesting ugly bruises. One day, we ended up at the Hospital with my whole chest looking purple. I remember as if it was yesterday..
After lots of blood tests I ended up being only a medical record number and a simple double diagnose: Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura and Von Willembrand syndrome. This two diseases have to do with a lack of platelets ( responsible for coagulation). It[s an autoimmune disease, which means that your own body doesn’t recognize itself and starts going against yourself. Just a diagnose I was…no one in the hospital wondered about my mind, about what could be happening to my essence for her to manifest so violently.
So basically I spent from 4 years old till12 inside the Hospital with my two gladiators: my parents. Till today, it[s hard to understand how this two people managed to keep going on when all doctors were telling them: ‘ we don’t believe your little girl can have a normal life, she has high risk of internal bleeding’.
I had a mum with the strength of a bull, a dad whose faith could move mountains and a little sister with some much love to give that meant the only reason for me to recover and get back home to keep playing.
For them, must had been hell. For me, was always my reality. I don’t remember a single time in which I felt like a victim, but I do felt it like the most important challenge of my life.

LA FAMILIA NO SE ELIGE...SEGURO? Cap 2 - YOU DON´T GET TO CHOOSE YOUR FAMILY…OH REALLY? CHAP 2 -

YOU DON´T GET TO CHOOSE YOUR FAMILY…OH REALLY?
From dad´s side, my great grandparents were German but they were relocated at Volga´s river side in Russia. From mum´s side, it is said there were some great great grandparents who were Argentinian natives, who mixed with Italians and Spaniards. Though our features always resembled more Turkish…

Like many of us, my ancesters had to leave the “old world” or they were already in this land but were forced by some “innovating minds”. No doubts they might have suffered not only physical but emotional injuries. I don´t think many of us have any idea what is like to leave your motherland because of hunger, social persecution or being invaded by new people who force you to do things their own way while they threatened you with a knife.

Part of this story, has to do with the fact that I always believed that each tiny piece of matter has a memory of its own, and that behind that lays the reason for which thing exist the way they do. One of those tiny pieces of matter is called cell. This is why I always supported ancient cultures that preached each generation inherites the wounds of the previous one. Sometimes we are the key to heal them by manifest them in our own bodies.

So, If you keep thinking that you are Royalty and by mistake left in your family to suffer, I would advice you to stop waiting for “the real one” to come and get you and start understanding the meaning of your presence.

I´m so sorry to tell you this, but not only you inherited your grandma´s beautiful eyes, or your grandpa´s amazing smile, but also everything they suffered silently with no choice to speak it out (...)

HABIA UNA VEZ (Una de Yoga y mates) CAP. 1 -ONCE UPON A TIME CHAP 1

Gracias, padrino. Divino.

Heme aquí: Daniela Giselle Gelhorn.

ONCE UPON A TIME
I got back to this world the 9th of June of 1986. I was born at Italiano Hospital, Buenos Aires city, Argentina.
My parents asked for a baby and decided not to guess what kind of surprise was inside my mum´s belly. The date was set to be on the last days of May, but since I always loved number 9, I took a few more days. My mum was in labor for almost 9 hours as well, so I guess I was determined in every way.
I´ve been told that when the doctor pulled me out of my mum, he congratulated them for having a healthy boy...thanks Doc, nice.

They named me Daniela, after a song they used to love. My godfather also decided to named me Giselle. Lovely. Thank you, godfather.

So here I am, Daniela Giselle Gelhorn

I reached the end of this year absolutely and truly exhausted. But definitely happy. And I thought that maybe was it because of our 42° degrees. But no, as usual the Universe tested me daily, with the huge difference that within years you become more and more emotional and things affect you in different ways. Even the happiness of feeling loved feels different, or maybe I just realized that I DESERVE TO BE LOVED and that´s when everything makes sense. I grew up so much… I managed to reconnect with my inner being, and everything was there, I swear it was and it IS. And I cannot express in words how wonderful this feels.

I would love everyone to understand the deep and profound meaning of being alive. How important a smile, a hugh, and an “I love you” are. But I would also like for everyone to realize that we came back to this life with a purpose, no matter how cheesy this might sound. And this purpose, this task, is not fulfilled by going to church and keep talking sweet words about God and then thinking that only your pain is terrible, your war is the worse or your degree allows you to be better than others.

Wisdom is understanding that, out of your tiny patriotic box there is a whole world. And that if you think that you are not able to do anything about Siria, Irak, Chaco, Africa, Venezuela, the guy that sleeps in the streets, the horse that pulls tons of weight or the dog that still waits for a loving family, then you should think about how you are living your life or how you treat others daily. Because there is no difference between middle East conflict or people that still believe that someone deserves to die only because of how she or he were dressed…or those people that preach vegetarianism or animal rights and then go and insult other humans only for thinking in a different way.
To be wise is to find coherence between what you say and what you do. And if you think that you are not ready, then learn how to be silent and start to listen to other realities. Be wise and remember that God gave you two ears but only ONE MOUTH. If you are gonna use it, make sure is to tell someone “I hear you”.
The soul remembers the purpose when you are able to understand others pain without judging, when you respect others opinion, when you don´t play the victim role and you take charge of what is yours. When you understand that is fine to make mistakes or to be afraid. The soul reminds you of who you really are when you recognize in others the same capacity of being part of everything.  Wisdom is also recognizing your own limits, even when they might have a name and surname… wisdom is not to take guilt as part of your life and stop doing things “cause you are expected to” or “you are supposed to”.
In every detail, everything prevails and it also finishes. For this new chapter I wish we can all recognize our soul wisdom to comprehend that each detail, each tiny act has it consequences over us as over others. And that nothing is ours or theirs, it only IS.
I wish peace, strength, knowledge, wisdom, an open and loving mind, flexibility and a truly joy of this new opportunity that the Universe had given us to surprise ourselves with our potential to be better.

"Trimurti"

nuestra esencia pura conservan.

Unifica entonces cuerpo, mente y alma

Bienvenido 2017, bienvenido
